Christian Bale has dropped out of the running to play the late Apple CEO Steve Jobs in an upcoming biopic.
Bale had previously replaced Leonardo DiCaprio as the favourite after Leo decided to drop out too (which we reported on here).
Surely a role like this will command another top-dollar star in no time?
The problem is the atmosphere on-set between the next actor on-board and the movie’s writer, Aaron Sorkin.
Why? Because of this video, posted upon announcement of Bale’s attachment.

As far as I’m concerned, it’s going to be a bit awkward for whoever jumps on the Jobs job next, knowing that they are not ‘the best actor’.
Sure, Sorkin was overly-praising his new colleague, but whoever comes next will know they are second choice (third if you count Leo).
That’s gonna be awkward.
So what’s the deal with these two huge A-Listers dropping out of the movie? Are Danny Boyle and Co. trying to create something weird? Is it just too many damn words to remember from Sorkin? It sure is fishy…
With those two on board, though, it’s sure to be a fast-paced treat dripping with LOTS of zippy dialogue.
